Description

In this suspenseful dystopian drama, a lavish upper-class wedding goes awry in an unexpected uprising of class warfare that gives way to a violent coup d’état. As seen through the eyes of the sympathetic young bride and the servants who work for—and against—her wealthy family, NEW ORDER breathlessly traces the collapse of one political system as a more harrowing replacement springs up in its wake.

First 15 minutes are interesting. From there, is really bad

I came in with an open mind and was really hoping for something meaningful. But any character trying to do anything decent was killed, raped, sodomized, and then the end. A waste of time and money. A black hole for hope of a movie. Save your money.

This movie is incredibly bleak and depressing. I didn’t hate it, but I won’t watch it again.

Believable, disturbing, tragic all come to mind when describing the experience of watching New Order. A great cast that were convincing as “real people” had me involved and on the edge of my seat. The juxtaposition of the servile and the privileged class was brilliantly portrayed without out being heavy handed or cartoonish. Lately, all the films that linger in my mind after viewing are not American films and New Order successfully haunted me for days.
  • Should be required to watch?

Increible, asombrante, una película que no se aleja de la realidad y denota lo que muchos no queremos ver o aceptar
