Description

Dr. Louis Creed, having just moved to Maine with his wife and two children, is heartbroken when he finds that his daughter's beloved cat has been hit by a truck and killed. Thankfully, a strange, elderly neighbor called Jud knows a secret that may spare the young girl's tears. He takes the dead cat to an ancient Indian burial ground that lies hidden in the surrounding hilltops; and when he buries the feline there, it comes back to life a few days later. But Louis can't be trusted with the secret, and, despite strong warnings that something horrible will happen, he uses the power of the burial ground to bring his son back from the dead -- after the child is killed the same way the family cat was.

Pet Sematary is the very definition of lazy but i don't know why people got terrifed by this film because i didn't find anything scary and haunting about all i found it was funny and hailrious in a good way. But the movie feels dated and bad but the cinematopgraphy is dazzling don't expect the remake to be good.
  • Stephen King’s SCARIEST MOVIE!!!

There are lots of great horror movies from Stephen King. But, if you want the scariest horror movie ever adapted from a Stephen King book, forget Carrie, forget Cujo, forget Silver Bullet, forget 1408, forget either film version of The Shining. There is no scarier adaptation of any of King’s fiction than this horrifying movie! This movie is what truly turned me into a Stephen King fan! When I watched it for the first time, it terrified me! But it also made me really eager to read the book! Since fans of the book are wondering if the movie is anywhere near as good, here’s some good news: Stephen King wrote the screenplay. So, that’s all you need to know as an answer to your question: With King’s impeccable plotting, Mary Lambert’s stylish, effective direction, great acting, and amazing special effects that are achieved without even the slightest hint of CGI, this is a faithful, nightmarish adaptation of King’s most terrifying book!
  • Feels like a mini series?

A good child actor, good old time actor and good story. However the editing is horrible and lazy and feels like a mini series! How anyone would prefer this over the 2019 one is beyond me! There’s some good aspects for it,but then there’s more bad than good! In fact it is a very mediocre movie, because it doesn’t feel like a movie Three stars for just ok.

This movie was better than what I expected it to be! I thought this was gonna be a dumb horror flick, but it turned out be a good creepy 80s horror film. Till this day this movie is affective with its scares, and the effects. The actors did good with their performances. Especially in one particular scene at a funeral where you really felt the tension between two characters, that was an intense moment. The 80s was a high point in Hollywood particularly in the horror genre with successes such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Pumpkinhead, Halloween, etc. Pet Sematary is a fun creepy horror film, I am really glad I came across this modern classic!

Sometimes the acting is a bit pitchy, but I still love this movie!!! I’d give it a 4.5, but I can’t do that so I’ll just give it a five

This film is okay but it doesn't hold a candle to the book. Don't watch the movie. Read the book. (Same thing for Salem's lot - the book is far scarier and has more going on.)

I just got done reading the book so I decided to watch the movie. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t nearly as good and detailed as the book. The movie missed a lot of good points and definitely changed some major details. But the movie, aside from the book, was pretty good.
