Description

Helmed by Rob Zombie, this gore fest follows two young couples on their quest to find the truth about a mythical character known only as "Dr. Satan." Set in rural Texas in the 1970s, the group gets more than they bargained for when they find themselves stranded in an all-too-realistic house of horrors.

This movie brings the gore, I like the characters and the story. I know Rob Zombie is a divisive director, but you have to admit he’s creative.

This movie is super dumb! I watched it cause I love horror movies and it’s supposed to be a classic but oh my gosh. This movie is sooo dumb, I can’t believe it has the stars that it does.

How anyone likes this movie is beyond me I am maybe one of the only people I know who liked his Halloween movies and I absolutely love love love el Superbeasto I laugh until I cry watching it every time. and devils rejects wasn’t that bad but this movie is by far the worst movie I have ever seen if devils rejects had been the start of the series I’d say bravo but this was pure garbage I don’t even want to remember this movie is real it’s horrible it’s the only rob zombie movie I can say I’ll never watch again and by far the worst excuse for a movie I’ve ever seen it goes from supernatural nonsense to no longer albino psycho with a beard in part 2 I’m not even sure rob zombie had any idea what he was doing making this movie

This is where Rob Zombie began his feature film career idolizing sadistic hillbillies and giving voice to the morally depraved in the world that wishes they too could torture and butcher people with their family. It’s competently made insomuch that Zombie’s filmmaking crew apparently knew how to turn the camera on and point it at things, but otherwise it’s badly lit, badly written and badly acted and obviously badly directed. But there are people that confuse putting human suffering and unlikable characters onscreen and some kind of profound statement. The statement of Zombie’s films are all the same, his slashers are somehow victims and anti heroes because they like to murder and torture gosh darn it. Why can’t the law just leave them alone? This is easily his most incompetent movie.

House of 1000 corpses is definitely a horror classic this entire franchise from this to The Devil’s Rejects, to the brand new 3 From Hell are all classics you can’t go wrong with any of them. I saw this movie back in theaters when it first came out & I instantly fell in love so many horror movies these days are just ridiculous & don’t deserve the horror tag to there film. These 3 are unlike any other horror movie I have seen & trust me I’ve seen a ton of them. I’m a really big fan of rob zombies films except the lords of Salem I did not like that movie at all. But if you have not seen these movies or even if you have the bundle deal they have going on right now on iTunes where for $20 you get House of 1000 corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, & 3 From Hell all in HD & 3 from Hell you get in 4K HDR this is worth it & then some great deal.

This could just be a documentary of rednecks from Texas. I like Rob Zombies movies but this one was just “So”
  • Were they trying for funny?

I get that it was lower budget but a smaller budget should not mean lower quality. What is lacked in horror it made up for in creepy/funny. If it wasnt for the blond girl, this would have been a waste ;)
